What is a better peice of workout equipment? A stationary bike or elliptical machine?

I hate my treadmill, but want a good workout!

Elliptical. I also hate the treadmill, but im one of those ppl who enjoy working out, and elliptical is my choice for these reasons

1. You generally burn more calories in elliptical.
2. You can vary it more. with different levels and different programs. sure you can do that with a bike, but your sitting ( how much variation is that?)

3. The bike seems more restrictive, it works your legs, but with the elliptical there’s more movement and it seems to target more muscles in your lower body too.

but the bike is good, nothing against it, but ask yourself this? if you had to invest in it, what would you enjoy more and what would you prefer?

Elliptical. better overall workout. Works more muscle groups and less damage to joints.

Elliptical machine of course! It gives you diverse training. But be careful, muscle weighs more than fat, if you use too much weight, you will be muscle building. Small, regular routine will help you to loose faster with a good cardio base. Stationery bike only works legs, hips and abs to a degree. Elliptical will work more of what you need!

I don’t know about those but i’ve started using a rowing machine (Kettler Kaddet) and its very relaxing + it works on most of the muscles in your body and is good for cardio as well. I’m usualy one of those people who get bored after one go but the computer that comes with it allows me to set goals on how many kilojoules I want to burn and how many rows I want to do which motivates me even more to continue till I reach them for that session.
