Has anyone tried any workout equipment from TV and how have you liked it?

April 7th, 2010 | by admin |

I just see all these informercials, and wonder if their stuff really works.

I have to say that one of the BEST investments I’ve EVER made as far as purchasing workout equipment has been the following:

1.) The AB Doer – I swear, I could’ve starred in an infomercial for this!! I bought this a while ago, and I LOVE IT!! I still use it a lot, and I’ve gone down from a size 7 jeans, to a size 3!! There’s all types of different moves you can do on this for your abs/waist, if you buy it, included is a dvd & pamphlet to demonstrate those exercises! Below I will post a source for the ABDoer site, where you can get further details on it. I believe the AB Doer has been revised & updated, it’s now called the AB Doer Xtreme.

*ALSO, I’ve taken the liberty to post a link to an exercise equipment Review site…See below, it is the 2nd link posted!
Good Luck!

Hey there, ISSA, NASM, and ACSM certified personal trainer Trey Kornegay.. At your service

Most products on TV simply do not work.
Take the AB lounge for example, it is a crutch.
Sure! You can get stronger abs using it, thats true. And you can lose weight using it, thats also very true. BUT. The ab lounge is just a crutch, you would be far better off, and get far better results from just doing regular crunches on a mat on the floor. If the Ab Lounge or something motivates you to do ab exercises when you otherwise wouldn’t, well then something is better than nothing. But if you’re looking for fast results, turn off the tv.

Bow Flex is an interesting product though. I have a friend who has one. The deal with it is, that unlike weights in a gym, where the weights are all balanced and, on machines, on tracks. Is that it is just a straight lift, resistance training as its called.
But the Bow Flex is different, with it – you just have a bunch of cables behind you that aren’t stable, and aren’t balanced. You have to do that. So you get very different results from what you would in the gym. Bow Flex is a good product, but for your best results. I would stick to regular resistance training in a gym.

    Hope this helps.
    Peace, Trey.
