The King of The No Equipment Workout – AthLEAN X Show

February 18th, 2010 | by admin |

http://www.athleanx.com In a slight departure from the workouts I’ve been bringing to you free week after week, I had to stop and show you something this week that absolutely blew my mind. This guy…I’ll call him the “Man of Steel” (he works at a steelyard) sent in a video of him performing a pushup…that blew me away so much that I had to go out and see him first hand! The guy’s strength is unbelievable! I wanted to show this to you and show you how with little to no equipment, you too can get great results in your very own home gym doing the same types of exercise. Now, my AthLEAN-X Training System is also a workout system that can be done either in the gym with lots of equipment, or at home with the home gym little to no equipment necessary version of the workout.

If you haven’t seen this pushup before…it’s crazy. If you have never tried this pushup variation before, be careful when you do. It’s very intense. You have to build up to this and it’s not for novice weight trainers.

In my travels, I have seen some crazy feats of strength, but this one is definitely at the top of my list. As you might know, I write regularly for Men’s Fitness Magazine, was the physical therapist and strength coach for the New York Mets for the 2006,2007, and 2008 seasons…..and I continue to work as a celebrity fitness trainer working with some of the top professional athletes and celebrities in the world today. As you can imagine I’ve seen some great workouts and some great physiques. This guy….the “Man of Steel” almost tops them all. Not only that, but did I mention….this guy is 47 years old?!?! It’s amazing.

Pass this video on to everyone you think would find this either amazing or just downright cool! In the meantime, for a workout system based on the same muscle building principles as in this exercise head to http://www.athleanx.com and grab your copy of the AthLEAN-X Training System now!

wood chops on cables, explosive tricep workouts, just imitate the motion of the bat on the cable machine and explode threw it, then once your arms do it with no weight it will seem that much easier for your body to do therefore doing it faster

run a lot, quit drinking pop, quit candy, and drink lots of water and eat lots of green leafy veggies in addition to some push ups and crunches. that should do it pretty fast. and not make you unhealthy.

    … why was he …
… why was he obviously homeless? Because he was dirty and worked for a living? To ME, he is obviously a hard working man working in what appears to be a recycling facility or scrap metal yard and gave time to show JD a few things.

    But, that’s what I see.

JD, you have just gotten my subscription on this chain off comments right here.

THIS, what you have just done, is truly remarkable to see. Most, would not have a conscience about it and simply answer it. You did. To a lot of us, that means the world.

I’m looking forward to catching up on your channel.

115 sounds unhealthily low for me! This isn’t for wrestling is it? I don’t feel comfortable recommending a weight loss plan for you, especially since you seem too young to be needing to lose that kind of weight. I wish I could help more, but professionally….I have to pass. I hope you understand.

    No sweat buddy! …
No sweat buddy! Don’t worry about anything but continuing to show up at the start! Make this part of your new lifestyle and you will succeed in the long term. As far as the exercises themselves…begin with bodyweight only to start and make modifications if you have to to be able to complete the exercises. Pushups on knees, inverted pullups under squat rack bar, no med ball on ab exercises, etc. Keep going with this and you will get the results!
