Hard to do weight training?
March 14th, 2010 | by admin |I do not own weights, I haven’t been able to find anything good or it’s too expensive or I don’t have enough money. ( I have bills to pay and such)
Is there any alternatives to weights that I can make at home, or cheaper than buying expensive weight equipment that will give me some weight training (since I already do a lot of cardio!)
Thanks for any solutions.
paint buckets full of sand or concrete haning from ropes or tied to a bar. that’st he cheapest home made weights you can get.

You can buy a set of different band resistance, as well as isometric and/or bodyweight type exercises. You don’t need a gym or a weightset to get in good shape.
Try push-ups for chest, arms and shoulders. Isometric sits ( lean against a wall in the sitting position) for quads and glutes, bodyweight calf raises for your calfs, curls with a gallon jug filled with water. Using your imagination makes the variety limitless.

Tubing can be used for resistance training.
Stand on it and hold the two ends and work your biceps and triceps….
Tie one end around your ankle and stand on the other end and work your legs…..
I’m thinking of surgical tubing (it’s small and stretchy) but, I’m sure any hardware store has tubing that you could use.
