March 12th, 2010 | by admin |

I need something that is easy on my joints. I have rhematoid disease. Losing the 50 pounds will take a lot of stress off of my joints.
I was just looking at the bicycle to purchase but I have heard good things about the elliptical I just want to get into better shape and lose some weight.

Diversity is best. Switch between the cross ramp, elliptical, and the stationary bicycle if you have a gym membership.

a combo of bike/ellip and treadmill will work best for you…..
alternate speeds and inclines on each to max time….you will burn more cals this way…
also do not be afraid of a few weights,

I would use an elliptical, they have pr oven to more calories, then any other machine. The bicycle is good for you, but you don’t not use your arms at all. On the elliptical almost every part of your body is getting work.
Try out the site i have attached, it should help you find a diet/exercise plan that fits your needs.
Good luck and hope i helped!

I think the stationary bicycle is more effective for losing weight, base on my experience though. I have been using it for more than a year already.

But maybe you should also consider if you are comfortable, some people would not prefer bicycle, you might lose interest in exercising if you don’t like your tool.

Either one can work well. I would go with the elliptical because many of them offer increased inclines and that sort of thing. Think long term. Which one are you most likely to be using a year from now after you buy it. Whichever one that is, get it.
