How do you tone your hamstrings without going to the gym or exercise equipment?

May 25th, 2010 | by admin |

Is there anything I can do to tone my hamstrings without going to the gym or using exercise equipment? My legs are toned, but I want to work on my hamstrings a little more. I don’t have the resources to go to a gym, and buying equipment is out of the question. Any help here?

The best one to target the hamstrings would be the glute-ham raise with your feet anchored under something heavy like a bed.

You could also try stiff one legged deadlifts, hip raises (plus single leg version) and reverse lunges making sure you emphasise the hams.

Also, why not try doing regular stiff legged deadlifts with weight, only using some home made weights. Like stick a few books into a bag or something heavy about your house.

I think you should try the P90x. It is the best out there. You dont need a gym. The company is beachbody. It is 13 dvd and it is a 90day program. Dont waste your money on these equipments that take up space. P90X or Insanity. They are dvds trust me you will thank me. It gets the best ratings. Fast results

The hamstrings are pretty difficult to exercise without equipment. All I can think of is holding something heavy and bending with your hips as far as you can go (like if you’re trying to touch your toes). Basically a stiff-legged deadlift, as long as you’re using only your hips and not your lower back then you will feel it in your hamstrings really hard.
