Which one of these cardio equipment burns the most fat in the same amount of time?

1. Cross trainers
2. Elliptical machines
3. Stair climbers
4. Bikes
5. Treadmills

The reason I ask is because I just got a great deal in the mail for a fitness club membership and I’m seriously thinking about joining. I’m not overweight, but I do have a little fat … a little … to lose around the belly area. I want to have my six pack showing by hopefully August. I checked out the website of the club and this is the equipment it listed for cardio exercises.

By the way, I don’t even know what a cross trainer is. If you can paint a picture for me, that’d be great.

So, which one burns the most fat? Thanks!

After training for years and trialing different machines, as far as cardio workouts go, the stair climbers and bikes do the most burnout for me. The treadmills are good, but they only workout the lower parts mainly. The elliptical and cross trainers can be use-full to a degree but they attack mainly the exterior muscle groups only. For a proper ab workout to tighten your stomach muscles, stair climbers and bikes are usually the ones that get left behind because people don’t think they are training the right muscle group. Exercising in combination with other muscle group helps a lot easier than just working one. Use resistance exercises and read up on exercise programs like Body for Life which can give and indication on how, not only to exercise properly, but to eat properly too. Hope this helps……

Edit:
A cross trainer/elliptical trainer is one where you place your feet onto pads and you hold onto polls with your hands, like you were riding a set of skis on the snow, and you basically are running with these pads and the polls are moving in unison with each other. (That’s the best picture I can paint of what it is, otherwise look up on eBay for a cross trainer/elliptical trainer and they will show you pictures). Hope this added info helps……

THE ONE WHICH BUILDS MUSCLE AROUND THE MIDSECTION, AS WELL AS THE REST OF THE BODY. i WOULD SUGGEST , AEROBIC, CORE MOVEMENTS EXERCISE ROUTINE FOR AT LEAST 3O MINUTES EVERY OTHER DAY. tHIS IS GOOD FOR THE HEART, AND MUSCLES, AND ALIGNS ALL THE DIFFERENT MUSCLE SYSTEMS YOU ARE TONING.

The one that burns more fat and packs on more muscle than any of those cardio machine is the rowing machine. my favourite model is the concept2. i also own an eliptical trainer and if you work on cardio with that make sure you are doing intervals. i swear if you dont use intervals you wont see results. I have to say the winner of your question is a treadmill no doubt. The treadmill burns about 17 calories per minute.
