what is an easy routine of cardio for a beginner that doesnt own any exercise equipment?

March 26th, 2010 | by admin |

so i need a cardio routine that does not include equipment.. uh i have like no muscles so an easy one would be awesome…

There are many excerices that a beginner can use for cardio: running, jogging, walking, jumping jacks. Mix it up–do a few minutes of one and then change to another. Just remember that you are just beginning and to take it easy…the most simplistic excercises will be the most efficient :)

Start by walking. It’s free and it’s effective.

Get checked out by a doctor and cleared for cardio.

Start walking. Like the above said, it’s free and easy. Get some running shoes, good ones if you can. Learn to stretch and start doing so.

Start working in intervals. Walk for 4 minutes, jog for 1. Repeat the cycle for a half hour or so.

Next week or two, try walking for 3 minutes and jogging for 2. You see where this is going. Eventually you want to jog, or run, the entire workout.

Listen to your body. If you’re not ready to jog for longer, don’t. Just remember you have to push yourself a little bit to get better.

If you want to get technical, get a heart rate monitor. Figure out your target heart rate, and when ready try to maintain that throughout the workout.

Always warm up and cool down.

try walking, fast walking, jogging, running 3-4 times a week, on about the third week try to mix it up and go for a bike ride (bikes can be found at auctions, garage sales, etc for cheap!) or a swim if its warm enough because that’s when most injuries occur. also, to mix it up try dancing or other sports for some fun, cardio gets harder the more your thinking about it.

I would suggest you try out rope jumping.

It’s a round and complete cardio exercise that helps you rev up your heart rate; hike up your metabolism to higher levels to burn off the excess fat from your entire body to slim you down; improve your body coordination and sharpen your mental acuity.

Though it may appear strenuous at first but with the right technique and the right tempo and intensity, it’s a very easy exercise to do. You just need a jump rope which you can get from any sports shop downtown.

I’ve got guide here showing you how to jump rope the right way: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/jump-rope-workout.html

Besides jumping rope, you can also go for:

1 Running/jogging/walking in the open on track; around your garden or in the park
    2.Swimming
    3.Dancing
    4.Biking
    5.Kick boxing
    ………….and many, many others……
