I am working out again with weights and cardio equipment and I need a good eating plan to gain muscle mass and
February 26th, 2010 | by admin |burn fat. Can someone help me with a simple and effective eating plan. Are there any proven legal weight training supplements I can take to gain and maintain lean muscle over a long period of time? Thank-you, all who reply! I read all answers and appreciate the feedback!
If you can handle a very strict diet than go to www.cutdiet.com. I have been on this diet for almost 12 weeks now and have only lost 7 scale pounds but have lost alot more fat. I am cut as I ever have been. It is a diet for bodybuilding getting ready to compete but has worked great for me. I just did it to see what would happen and have been very happy with the results. It does take alot of dedication because you basically eat the same thing all the time.
Everything at the website is free and they give exact details of the eating plan. Everything you need is spelled out for you. All you have to do is stick to it.
Regardless of what people say building muscle and burning fat is quite possible to do at the same time.
Check it out.

Eating alot of starches help, but u have to remain consistent with the exercises. Three or two times a day.

I did the body for life program and found that was the best. The book has some recipe’s in it and you can also talk to the people at the nutrition place such as GNC. They have protein shakes and bars available. Protein is key.

First, use this to see how many calories you need in a day:
http://www.hpathy.com/healthtools/calories-need.asp
decrease whatever that amount is by 200-300 daily, and eat wholesome foods like whole wheat and veggies. cut out sugary and junk foods. low fat, and good carbs in moderation.
depending on your goals for building muscle and your current fitness level i’ll just list out the options and you can see foryourelf which is for you:
if ure a beginner, use machines and do circuit training (do about 10 reps on every machine and go around for 2-3 sets) this way u develop muscle overall in your body and it burns alot of calories. if you do total body workouts go do weights 3 times a week and do cardio 3 times a week, alternating the days to let your muscles recover. if u dont have that kind of time then i recommend doing a cardio session right after your weight training…..20-30 minutes. still give your muscles time to rest though.
to increase muscle mass do heavier weights…sets of 6-8 reps. the weight u shud be doing should be tough to do on the 7th rep and you need to push yourself
to get toned…..please don’t follow traditional myths about lifting light with high reps because that really doesnt do anything for you….rather use moderate weights for sets 10-12.
as for cardio…intensity is a debatable thing…..some people say if u do cardio in a moderate bpm in the ‘fat loss’ zone it is better for you than doing at a high bpm at the ‘cardiovascular’ zone. however heres some facts and my opinion on it: it is true that a larger % of calories burned a moderate bpm zone is using fat. However, you clearly burn alot more calories at a higher bpm. Even though the % is lower, you will burn more fat in total. 2ndly, it improves your cardiovasular health, allowing you to be more fit, and haev a higher metabolism which in turn will allow you to burn more calories at idle (not excercising) If running fast is stressful on your knees and you cannot get up to a high bpm, swimming or cycling can also get your bpm high.
hope i helped
