How to do cardio without equipment?
March 14th, 2010 | by admin |Please don’t say runnig/jogging/swimming, because I live on a pretty unsafe road, and can’t run jog or swim anywhere. I have 8 lb dumbbells, but that’s the only equipment I have. And a chair.
Dancing is probably your best bet. And shadowboxing. Put some hard, loud kickass music on that makes you feel like you want to beat somebody up. Then for like 20 mins just pretend like you’re fighting somebody, but you really gotta punch hard (kick too if you want).

well, the only other option other than that would be something like jump rope, and jumping jacks are great!

Cardio is all about getting your heart pumping! If you don’t have any equipment and don’t feel safe on a road to run or jog, pump some fun jams and start moving! Grab a jumprope, choreograph your own dance (it doesn’t have to look superb, this is just for you), or do some turbo house chores. Just start moving somewhere!

Buy and do jump ropes. On days that you visit an indoor shopping mall, walk for about 30 minutes. If you have the chance, you can sign-up for a yoga class, learn the routines, and then do them at home.
If you are still in school, use the school’s outdoor field to run or jog before or after school. If not, take the city bus to a safer neighborhood and walk, run, etc. Don’t be boxed in by your environment. Breakout of it.

Plyometrics. Look it up on the web. Google it. It’s basically stuff like jumping jacks, mountain climber, burpees, and all kinds of variations that people can think of. It’ll get your heart pumping.

Cardio is actually pretty simple at home. just small excersises to get you started like 50 reps of your dumbell, then move onto press-ups and bench drops with your chair
. You can also try 50 reps on situps and the plank for a minute, all of these will get you sweating . You could also do ski jumps for about 2 minutes.

I’m assuming you can’t bike anywhere either due to the givn conditions. A good form of cardio is dancing. Just make a playlist of your favorite fast songs and dance to them for 30 minutes. Or search dance videos on youtube and theres tons you can exercise along with. You can use the dumbbells to help you in various toning exercise.
